WATER PURIFICATION SYSTEM
ONKAR Water
Purification System introduces its water purification system with Unique
Qualities. This System is designed on Canadian Technology made with food
grade materials. It's the only system in One-Piece hosing, three jars/stages. These Filters provide more safe and purified water.
PURPOSE OF
WATER PURIFICATION
Presumably of
drinking water comes from a municipal system a shallow dug-well or a deep
drilled-well, each type of water supply is more or less vulnerable to
different kinds of pollutants, because surface water (river, lakes,
reservoirs), ground water (underground aquifers) and treated water, each
are exposed to environmental contaminants in different ways.
Obviously, the
hydrological characteristics of the area you are in localized activates
and sites that creates pollution such as factories, agricultural spraying
or impurities such as lwad and other metals can be introduced by the
piping that delivers the water to your tap.
Biological
Impurities -- Bacteria, Viruses and Parasites
Organic Impurities -- Tastes and Odors
Inorganic Impurities -- Dirt and Sedf Turbidity
HOW SAFE IS THE DROP YOU DRINK??
Water is
essential for life, making up two-thirds of the body weight. Water is so
vital that survival is impossible if you abstain from it for more then
three to four days. All body fluids contain water as it forms a medium by
which nourishment is taken to every cell of the body and the waste
material is removed. It helps regulates body and keeps your digestive and
urinary systems healthy and your skin elastic. To maintain a good water
balance you need about two liters of water daily.
The World
Health Organization (WHO) has laid down that potable water should have
certain qualities; viz, it should be:
- Free from pathogenic agents
- Free from harmful chemical substance
- Pleasant to taste
- Suitable for all domestic purposes; i.e. drinking, cooking, washing,
bathing and recreation.
Water is
considered contaminated or polluted when it contains infective and
parasitic agents, poisonous chemical substances, agricultural pollutants
like fertilizers and pesticide, thermal pollutants, radioactive
substances, industrial waste and sewage. All of these are man-made and can
attack you in two ways - biologically and chemically.
Now, how do you purify the water from your tape There are various
methods:
Boiling:
After
straining through a fine clean cloth, boil water for 10 to 15 minutes
(after it has reached the boiling point) to kill all bacteria, spores,
cysts, ova and viruses known to man. However boiling does not have any
residual effect and the water can get contaminated again. Therefore it is
wise to boil in the same container as it is stored. Boiling also removes
temporary hardness and the alters the taste of the water, and precipitate
the calcium carbonate white despite in the container. This is harmless.

Filtration:
a) Candle Filters:
A porcelain candle coated with fine
metallic silver or with redibne (Zero B) is used as a germicide. The
later is not meant for people who are intolerant to rodine. The bacteria
that come io contact with the filter surface are killed by interaction of
the silver lons which are liberated in to the water.
b) Purifies:
They involve three stage process; a
ceramic or synthetic material filter through which the water is passed,
then through a bed of carbon and granulated silver, after which it is
finally exposed to ultra violet radiation which destroys water borne
organisms including viruses. There purifies must be serviced regularly and
the candle change every year as ultraviolet radiation is detective in
muddy or discolored water.
c) Ozonizers (Good Water):
Only recently launched in the
market, there also microbe and three stage purification process,. In the
first stage a micron filter removes all suspended solids and particulates
impurities and makes the water crystal clear. The clear water then passes
through a silver impregnated bad taste and foul odor. In the third stage
ozone ( a gas derived from oxygen) is injected into the water which kills
all bacteria, viruses and other micro organisms. The advantage ionizers
hold over other purifies is the they work equally well on stored or turbid
water.
Chemical
Disinfection:
1. Chlorine:
It can be used in the form of
tables or solution. Liquid "Clenwat" is convenient for traveling. One
bottle consoles Rs. 10 purities 10 liters of water.
2. Iodine:
It may used for emergency
disinfection of water. Two drops of 2% ethanol solution of Iodine will
suffice for one liter of clean water. Allow the iodine to act for 20 to 30
minutes before using the water.
Bottled Water:
The Indian marked today is flooded
with all kinds of mineral waters claimed to be pure. Mineral waters means
that's it comes from a natural source like a spring or well. Make sure the
the bottle is property sealed and is opened in front of you. These bottles
are not meant to be reused therefore make sure that you crush them before
disposal.
Cement pressure pipes are widely used in water distribution networks
throughout country, and are proven to be a hygienic choice, compared with
metallic pipes, cement pipes, do not rust, are extremely durable and can
be made completely leak proof, thus enabling the distributed water to be
free from any contamination.
Water
Borne Diseases:
Viral: Viral hepatitis (jaundice),
poliomyelitis
Bacteria: Cholera, Typhoid, Paratyphoid, Bacillary Dysentery, Drumhead.
Protozoa: Amoebic Dysentery, Giardiases.
Worm Infestation: Round worm, whip worm, thread worm, Guinea worm, fish
tape worm, schistosomiasis. |
